Materials
What are Aeris mattresses made from?+
British wool, natural latex, cotton, silk, cashgora, Hampshire wool, and pocket springs. Every material is natural. No synthetic foam, no polyurethane, no memory foam, and no synthetic chemicals.
Where are Aeris mattresses made?+
Every Aeris mattress is handmade in England by one of the country's most respected bed makers, established in 1946.
Do Aeris mattresses contain any synthetic foam?+
No. Aeris mattresses contain no synthetic foam of any kind. No memory foam, no polyurethane, no synthetic latex.
What is the difference between the three core mattresses?+
The Wool 5000 uses British wool throughout for the most traditional natural feel. The Hybrid 5000 adds natural latex for responsiveness and bounce. The Latex 5000 uses four layers of natural latex for maximum support and structure. All three share the same 5,000 pocket spring system and are fully reversible.
What is horsehair and why is it used?+
Horsehair from the mane and tail is harvested humanely. Each strand is like a tiny hollow tube, naturally coiled and incredibly resilient. The hair is thoroughly washed, steamed, and treated to remove all allergens before being layered by hand. Thousands of these hollow strands create a natural micro spring system that is extraordinarily breathable, responsive, and durable. Horsehair mattresses can last decades without losing their structure.
Consultation
What is a sleep consultation?+
A free 15 minute conversation to discuss mattress options, firmness preferences, sizing, and any specific sleep concerns. Available by phone, email, or video call.
Do I need a consultation to buy a mattress?+
No. The core range can be purchased directly through the website. A consultation is strongly recommended for the Horsehair Range but not required and for anyone who wants personalised guidance.
How do I book a consultation?+
